FROM THE TENNESSEE STATE DIRECTOR

To Our Visitors,

We are pleased you have stopped by to visit.  The Tennessee Good Sam Club is the state organization of local chapters, as chartered by the Good Sam Club.  Each local chapter has its own officers, camping schedule and personality.  Often our chapters were built around similar interests.  While we refer to them as local chapters, our chapter membership is not restricted to a specific area of the state.  In fact, we have some members who drive as much as 200 miles to reach the core group of their chapter members, and some who live in other states. I mention this so that if you are interested you will check out several chapters to find one that “fits.”  We will also help you start your own local chapter should you be interested.

The Good Sam Club was founded in 1966 and was based upon the biblical Good Samaritan. Since it’s founding, the Club and its members have been providing support and assistance as well as opportunities for savings, fun, fellowship and volunteering.

The Good Sam Pledge is “As a member of the Good Sam Club I pledge to give aid to others in need, respect nature and the environment, give back to the community and those less fortunate, treat others with dignity and respect, to wear a smile and promote the pledge of the Good Sam Club to others.”

Please consider this your invitation to join us at one of our Rallies and State wide campouts so that you can get to know us.  Our motto is “Go camping and have fun.”

We hope to see you there.
